Conceptualise and brand a magazine on a topic that interests you. All written content, pictures, and visual elements must be original content (suggested to use existing images while lockdown persists). The magazine should include a cover page, content page, and two articles. Include a print layout and digital layout of the magazine.
Sustainability has become a major area of consideration on a global scale for individuals, the collective community, and corporations. The magazine will target the younger generation. The goal is to create a mindset shift in society to instil sustainability practices into future leaders. The Skyglow will create awareness about local problems. The articles will appeal to emotion and logic to create a convincing narrative and an empathetic culture. The magazine will encourage proactiveness through knowledge and curiosity about sustainability issues on a manageable scale.
The Skyglow by definition is the reflected light in the night sky from artificial light. As skyglow is only used as a technical term, it could be branded with the values of the magazine. The Skyglow has positive connotations of a presence of life, gentle and calm.
The logo is a slight modification of Futura font. The corners are rounded to take off the crisp edges of the geometric shapes. With rounded corners, the logo is gentle and imitates glowing especially with the filled crotch of the ‘y’ and ‘w’.
